What is expected of my Wolf Scout & me?

Your new Wolf scout will be required to complete (6) "Core" Adventures and (1) Elective Adventure in order to receive his "Wolf Rank / Badge"

  1. Complete each of the following Wolf "Core" required adventures with your den or family:

    • Call of the Wild

    • Council Fire

    • Duty to God Footsteps

    • Howling at the Moon

    • Paws on the Path

    • Running With the Pack

  2. Complete one Wolf Elective Adventure of your den or family's choosing.

  3. With your parent or adult partner, complete the exercise in the pamphlet How to Protect Your Children From Child Abuse: A Parent's Guide, and earn the Cyber Chip award for your age. *

* If your family does not have Internet access at home AND you do not have ready Internet access at school or another public place or via a mobile device, let your DL or Committee Chair know so we can make arrangements to bring in one of our laptops etc. for your scout to use.

Ideally we would like to have the scouts complete these advancement requirements by end of February or March. If any of the adventure requirements are missed it will be up to the parent to make this item up. Your Den Leader will be happy to work with you on any make up items that are needed.

The defined / required adventures are designed to be worked on in the den. It is the Den Leader's choice if he wants each scout to pick their own elective or if he wants all scouts to do the same one as a den. The Duty to God adventure can and should be done at home with family or at place of worship.

Once Core / required adventures are completed, there are a total of 13 elective adventures for your Wolf to work on if he would like to earn extra belt loops.

Summary The boys participate with their adult partners. The program emphasizes shared leadership, learning about the community, the enviroment and family understanding.
